Pemanfaatan Video Animasi dalam Pembelajaran Fiqih pada Siswa MTs kelas 8 Al-Musthafawiyah

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the implementation of animated video media in Fiqh learning for eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Musthafawiyah Palang, as well as to analyze students’ responses and the obstacles encountered during its application in the classroom. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving Fiqh teachers and eighth-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies to obtain comprehensive information related to the use of animated videos in the learning process. The collected data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The findings revealed that the integration of animated videos in Fiqh learning contributed positively to the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Animated videos helped students understand learning materials more easily, particularly Fiqh topics related to worship practices that require procedural explanations. The visual and audio elements presented in the videos increased students’ attention, participation, and enthusiasm during classroom activities. In addition, the use of animated videos created a more engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning atmosphere, which in turn enhanced students’ learning motivation. Teachers also reported that animated videos facilitated the delivery of learning materials by providing clearer illustrations and demonstrations of concepts being taught. However, several challenges were identified, including inadequate learning facilities, limited technological infrastructure, and variations in teachers’ ability to utilize technology-based instructional media. Therefore, animated videos can be considered an effective alternative learning medium to support and improve the quality of Fiqh instruction in Islamic junior secondary schools.
